Aamir Khan is an Indian actor, filmmaker, and television personality who works in Hindi movies. Khan made his first on-screen appearance as a child actor in his uncle Nasir Hussain’s film Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973). His first role as an adult came in the film Holi (1984).
He transitioned to a full-time acting career with the lead role in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988). His performance in Raakh (1989) earned him a Special Mention at the National Film Awards. Throughout the 1990s, Khan solidified his position as a leading actor by starring in a string of commercially successful films, including Dil (1990), Rangeela (1995), Raja Hindustani (1996), which earned him his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor.
